At Wolfi’s Bike Shop, we have teamed up with the Radlabor Cycling Laboratory's Smart Fit System to do our initial body measurements and frame selection. Born out of the Institute for Sports and Sport Science at the University of Freiburg, in Germany, Radlabor‘s deep database of the geometry of frames from every major cycling brand in the world combined with the research they’ve done at the University to turn a rider’s skeletal measurements into a recommendation for the right brand and frame size lets us rapidly select the correct frame for any rider.

When followed by a full bike analysis using the GebioMized fitting tools to analyze the rider’s cleat position, saddle pressure, and pedaling efficiency while on the bike allows us to find the best balance between the rider’s comfort and their performance out in the real world.

At Wolfi's we are very dedicated to have you as comfortable or as competitive as possible on your bike. Therefore we selected one of the most advanced bike fit systems on the market.

Don’t just look for the cheapest flight to your destination. Many budget airlines restrict your baggage size, and you may find yourself unable to take your bike on the plane!

  • Check with your airline for requirements and restrictions on luggage size.
  • Does the airline you're booking have a sporting goods exemption in their baggage policy?

If you are using electronic shifting components with external / removable batteries you should remove these batteries from the bike and transport them in your hand luggage. This is to prevent them being held by the airline when you check your bike bag in.

GebioMized, like Radlabor, is a product of the German University system, and the pressure measurement system they have devised is based on the research performed for a number of companies, like Assos Clothing, as well as the German National Cycling team. By using their pressure measurement system, it is possible to analyze the individual pressure on the saddle, in the shoes, and on the aerobar. This system is comprised of a thin and flexible film upon which 64 sensors have been positioned. The data is wirelessly transmitted to the PC or Laptop, which makes it possible to gather data while the rider is active on the bike, without affecting the rider’s usual style or position.See below for more information regarding the different types of analysis available.

Saddle AnalysisFinding the best Saddle and Position on your bicycle can be a very “tricky” task. Most riders would test many different seats and settings to hopefully find a comfortable and efficient setup. The information how your body is contacting the seat is literally in the “dark”.Our German Partner “GebioMized” developed a Pressure Mapping device and software to make measure and visualize all the important information necessary to adjust to find the right saddle. An optimized position on the saddle will improve comfort, control and efficiency while riding your bike. Book your appointment and see for yourself.

Foot AnalysisImproved Power and Comfort through optimisation of your food/shoe/pedal contact zone. Visualizing how your food integrates into your shoes and to stabilize your pedalling motion and technique is what the GebioMized system can offer you. Being able to look inside your shoes while you are pedalling will give us important information how to optimize your shoes to fit like a “glove” – more power – more comfort – more efficiency – how does that sound to you …. Book your appointment and see for yourself.

Pedaling Efficiency Analysis  “Once you know how to cycle you never forget how to do it”. This might be thru but to master the art of smooth and efficient pedalling is not so easy. To understand and to optimize your pedal stroke – when to “push” and when to “lift” your leg will boost your cycling performance to the next level. Visualizing your stroke in a full 360 degree left and right view can give you the necessary information to improve power output – improved balance between left and right foot – reduce fatigue

STT systems was created by a group of engineers in 1998 in San Sebastian, with the aim of devising high quality motion capture technology. They work on the creation of multiple motion analysis products with different objectives, such as clinical studies, sport researchers or bio-mechanics. These products include both motion capture software and hardware, creating ready to be used and complete motion analysis systems.

More specifically, most of the activity is focused on the development of 3d motion capture systems for sport and human studies. For example, they create advanced systems to facilitate running, cycling or golf motion analysis. In addition, they also create image processing software and hardware for industrial purposes.

In our Bike Fit Lab at our flagship store on Hudayriyat Island in Abu Dhabi we have installed STT Cycling 3DMA. The ultimate solution for 3D cycling analysis and bike fitting, based on optical motion capture. Collect real time, full-body bio-mechanical data instantly – then use the system to accurately measure the final bike adjustments in 3D, and hand a detailed, personalized report to the customer.

From feet to shoulders. Left and right sides. Spine analysis with cervical and lumbar segments. Dynamic tracking of the bike plane. Cycling 3DMA monitors the entire cyclist’s body in a one-time recording.

Cycling 3DMA includes a set of user-ready ‘analysis protocols’. What exactly are these? Protocols are a combination of software tools tailored to analyze a specific gesture or sport. Each protocol involves a marker configuration, a list of plots, relevant biomechanical parameters, certain automatically calculated events, a dashboard and a report template.

All of these are carefully designed and work together to facilitate user’s job. The goal: to move from data collection on to data processing & results display as fast as possible.

  • Full-Body Cycling Analysis
  • Left-Side Analysis Only
  • Right-Side Analysis Only
  • Road Bike Measurement
  • TT/Tri Bike Measurement
  • MTB Bike Measurement
  • Pre-Fitting Assessment
  • Feet Analysis

The BioRacer Aero system is an amazing tool to determine the optimal aerodynamic position on the bike. It also gives realtime feedback with regards to watts saved or wasted, and how those watts translate into speed.

By measuring the frontal area of the rider, the amount of watts that the rider has to pedal to maintain a certain (hypothetical) speed is calculated. The rider and fitter get real time information on these parameters (frontal surface and power). The Aero Cycling Analysis course teaches participants the techniques needed to reduce aerodynamic drag. Given that “Virtual Wind Tunnel” parameters are adjusted instantly, feedback is immediate. Moreover, the gain in speed is projected as well.

The system consists of a webcam, a tripod to position the webcam in front of the cyclist, and a green screen. The green screen is placed behind the cyclist to make the background smooth and uniform.

By incorporating LEOMO’s portable motion analysis technology into our bike-fitting service we ensure the most precise understanding of a cyclist’s movement patterns during a bike-fitting session. LEOMO’s TYPE-S system and advanced Motion Performance Indicators (MPIs) offer the best and most accurate solution for bike-fitting service based on a cyclist's actual positioning and movements while out on a ride.

LEOMO’s TYPE-S system and motion analysis technology can provide optimal positioning insights for every bike-fitting client based on specific data captured from LEOMO’s MPIs.

Bike-Fitting in Real Conditions

Body movements on a stationary trainer are not the same as those in the real world. After doing a bike fit in your studio, we can have you ride on the road and fine tune the position based on the data recorded from LEOMO’s TYPE-S system.
