Shimano SL-M315-8R Rapidfire Plus 8-Speed Right Shift Lever

The Shimano SL-M315-8R is a right-hand shift lever for mechanical 8-speed mountain bike drivetrains. It works with both 2x8-speed and 3x8-speed systems, so it suits a range of setups.

The lever uses Shimano’s Rapidfire Plus technology, which lets you shift up to 3 gears at the same time. It has a slim main lever body and an easy-to-read optical gear display (OGD), so you can see your current gear at a glance.

Shimano lists this lever for MTB use. The source describes it as offering reliable shifting performance and wide compatibility. A shift cable is included, but shift cable housing is not, so check whether you need to buy housing separately.
