SYNCROS CRESTON IC SL AERO
The Foil comes with a combo, handlebar and stem option that do justice to an aero bike of this caliber. We wind tunnel tested the Addict RC's particularly popular Syncros Creston iC SL. The result is a streamlined handlebar combo that glides through the wind and improves the bike's overall aero capability.
We've also improved comfort and stiffness with adaptive compliance. The combo offers more compliance under light loads, such as when riding on the hoods, but when you sink into the drops to shake off the competition, the combo gets stiffer to ensure you're able to squeeze every watt possible.
SYNCROS DUNCAN SL AERO CFT
One of the most innovative features of the bike is the patented new Syncros Duncan SL Aero CFT. The innovative seat post not only ensures a more comfortable ride on rougher surfaces, but also ensures that you can put maximum power to the pedals on light gravel or cobbled paths, as you are not lifted out of the saddle. The two-part front load-bearing part made of carbon fiber flexes when the road gets bumpy, ensuring that you stay in the saddle.
The Syncros Campbell 20 Aero iL rear light is sold separately. It is USB rechargeable and plugs directly into the Duncan SL Aero CFT seat post, maintaining the aerodynamic profile. The light with COB LED has three operating modes, a continuous mode, a daytime mode and a nighttime mode. It offers a luminosity of 20 Lm for safe riding in all conditions.
DEEPER SEAT STAYS
All Foil RC models feature lower seat stays, which not only provide additional comfort for the rider, but also - very important for an aero bike - reduce drag. They are angled at a 10 degree angle, directing passing air into the spinning spokes. In aerodynamic testing, we found that this detail significantly improves aerodynamics as the bike moves forward. The lower seat stays also conceal the disc brake calipers, which not only further reduces drag, but also allows for a clean design line.
OVERSIZED HEAD TUBE
The Foil RC's generous head tube not only allows for fully integrated cable routing for the mechanical and electronic shifting, but also acts as a fairing for the bike, splitting oncoming air and reducing drag as the rider moves forward.
LIGHTWEIGHT DESIGN
After testing over 300 designs, SCOTT engineers were able to develop a better carbon layer structure, reduce the number of carbon parts and joints used by 30% compared to the previous Foil, and save weight without compromising stiffness with incredible attention to detail, such as the seat stays and seat clamp.
