Seventy-two years after Ernesto Colnago founded his workshop in Cambiago, the C72 arrives as the definitive expression of the C Series. Every frame is handmade in Italy: the carbon tubes are bonded and wrapped by hand in Cambiago, the paintwork is applied in Colnago's dedicated facility in Pisa, and every junction is shaped with a precision that makes the craftsmanship deliberately, beautifully visible. This is the construction method that has defined the C Series since its inception — a multi-part modular approach that gives Colnago's engineers control over every single centimetre of the structure, and gives the rider a feel on the road that no monocoque frame can replicate.

The C72 geometry has been refined compared to the C68. The stack is slightly taller, the head tube angle revisited — the result is a bicycle that feels immediately right without sacrificing a gram of racing sharpness. Tyre clearance goes up to 35 mm, opening the door to gravel-ready setups. Internal frame storage is integrated into the design. The new CC.02 handlebars — lighter, stiffer, and ergonomically reshaped — are included with every frameset: simply select the size that matches your fit, or contact us and we will help you dial it in together.

Handling is precise and responsive, thanks to refi ned geometry and an optimised steering setup, designed to remain sharp without ever becoming nervous.

Power transfer is immediate and efficient, supported by a high-modulus carbon structure and optimised torsional stiffness. At the same time, the bike offers improved compliance and increased tire clearance, enhancing comfort, grip and versatility — extending its capabilities beyond perfect asphalt. The geometry reflects this same philosophy: while maintaining a racing DNA, the C72 allows for a more adaptable riding position, enabling both performance-focused setups and greater comfort over long distances.
