A new chapter for the C Series
Within the Colnago range, the C Series has always followed a unique path. Each new “C” is introduced not to update what exists, but to redefine the benchmark entirely. Hand-built in Italy, the C72 embodies this philosophy at its highest level. It reflects a different idea of performance: not the pursuit of extremes, but the precise balance of all the factors that define the riding experience.

The C72 is positioned as the top of the range of Colnago bikes. It is the quintessential Colnago, in a category of its own. It is designed to create the ‘definitive’ Colnago bike, a timeless masterpiece made to be enjoyed and to be kept. In this respect, it is similar to Steelnovo, which could be seen as the steel equivalent of C72, in terms of the philosophy of the product: a bike conceived to have maximum performance and be at the forefront of innovation, while still preserving heritage and iconic design.

Performance, perfectly composed
The riding experience of the C72 is defi ned by harmony. At high speeds, the front end delivers exceptional stability, giving riders confidence in all conditions. Handling is precise and responsive, thanks to refi ned geometry and an optimised steering setup, designed to remain sharp without ever becoming nervous.

Power transfer is immediate and efficient, supported by a high-modulus carbon structure and optimised torsional stiffness. At the same time, the bike offers improved compliance and increased tire clearance, enhancing comfort, grip and versatility — extending its capabilities beyond perfect asphalt. The geometry reflects this same philosophy: while maintaining a racing DNA, the C72 allows for a more adaptable riding position, enabling both performance-focused setups and greater comfort over long distances. The result is a bike that adapts to the rider, delivering a complete and refined experience across all riding conditions.

The C72 delivers a unique riding feeling — perfectly composed. Responsive when pushed, yet stable and refined over distance, it adapts to the rider, revealing the true essence of performance: the ability to make every ride its own.

Lighter than the previous C
The frame is lighter than its predecessor, enhancing responsiveness and overall riding feel. A size-485 unpainted frame (with no metal parts) weighs 895g, 30g less than C68. With the right setup, the bike can easily reach a weight of 6.8kg.

Updated geometry - it adapts to your needs
While maintaining its racing DNA, the bike can now be set up for greater comfort on long rides. An updated geometry — with an increased stack-to-reach ratio — allows for a more relaxed, endurance-oriented position when needed.

The new CC.02 integrated cockpit
The CC.02 has a new curve shape, which enables a more aggressive position and better brake control on a lower position, for better handling and confidence. It is lighter than its predecessor - 15 grams less than the CC.01.

Integrated storage box
For a bike conceived to deliver a total riding experience, a neatly integrated storage compartment was created - with a twist of the tab at its bottom, the bottle cage lifts off to reveal a storage compartment.

Improved compliance and wider tires (up to 35mm)
This bike is designed for modern wide rims with 30 mm tires for performance. Tire clearance, up to 35-622, provides for more comfort and vibration absorption.
