Lezyne Pumps
Whether you're fixing a puncture, enhancing your bike setup, or adding pre-ride top-offs, proper inflation is key to a smooth and enjoyable experience. Understanding the difference between Lezyne HV (High-Volume) and HP (High-Pressure) pumps, as well as knowing your specific tire pressure needs, will help you choose the right Lezyne floor or hand pump.
Lezyne provides a variety of both floor and hand pumps, available in High-Volume (HV) and High-Pressure (HP) versions, clearly labeled for your convenience.
High-Volume Pumps
High-Volume (HV) pumps feature larger barrels and pistons, allowing them to move more air with each stroke compared to High-Pressure pumps. This means your tires inflate more quickly, saving you time. HV pumps are best suited for larger volume tires that require pressures between 5 and 100 psi, with a maximum pressure capacity of up to 100 psi (approximately 7 bar).
- Larger diameter barrels
- Moves a larger volume of air
- Achieves desired pressure faster
- High-volume applications
- Max 100 psi (~7 bar)
High-Pressure Pumps
HP or High-Pressure pumps are engineered to reach much higher pressures with less effort, earning them the tagline "Easy Inflation." They are ideal for tires that typically require pressures above 80 psi and can achieve a maximum pressure of up to 160 psi (approximately 11 bar).
- High-pressure applications
- Require less effort
- Achieves desired pressure more easily
- Max 160 psi (~11 bar)
