For the first time ever, Abu Dhabi is hosting the Bike Abu Dhabi Festival.
The bike festival is the latest in a line of events launched by His Highness Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed, member of the Abu Dhabi Executive Council and Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Executive Office to make Abu Dhabi a leading global cycling hub.
From the 7th November, Abu Dhabi will be at the center of the world's cycling community for one week, as a host for world-class events like the UCI Urban Cycling World Championship and the Gran Fondo. Besides the two global events, the Bike Abu Dhabi Festival will host various smaller cycling events, such as community rides and workshop classes.
2022 UCI Urban Cycling World Championship
You thought you could only ride a bike? Think again after you witnessed the UCI Urban Cycling World Championship. Enjoy BMX Freestyle, Flatland and Trials and an event village with exclusive entertainment for the whole family, where the best BMX riders in the world will showcase their incredible skills in a remarkable bike park. The venue will be held underneath the iconic Nation Towers and have the fantastic Abu Dhabi Corniche skyline as a backdrop.
Freestyle BMX it's all about bike skills and thrilling tricks. The riders will have to perform their best bike tricks within a set time frame. The World Champion title will be awarded to the rider with the highest score given by the jury.

Bike Abu Dhabi Gran Fondo - From Abu Dhabi To Al Ain
If you're passionate about road cycling and have a good stamina, riding a Gran Fondo will be a great experience. Gran Fondo comes from Italy. It's loosely translated as 'Big Ride'. A broad mix of different level of cyclists, from professional to recreational, participate in these events to experience the unique atmosphere. The camaraderie, scenic views, the aim for personal achievements, and the chance to win prizes are all attractive elements of the rides. You can join and experience it as a community ride, a tour or a race, and you can tick a Gran Fondo off your bucket list.
Your experience level doesn't matter, as the Gran Fondos are for all the road cyclists. It's all about pushing your limits, racing, or riding it at your own pace. Register before the deadline closes at 11:59 AM on 9th November, 2022.
