A Thrilling Four-Stage Event Highlighting Elite Women's Cycling in the UAE at the UAE Tour Women.

The 3rd edition of the UAE Tour Women returns from February 6th-9th 2025, featuring four exciting stages where the world's top female cyclists will compete at the highest level. Against the breathtaking backdrop of the United Arab Emirates, this prestigious race promises intense competition and stunning scenery.

As the One and only UCI Women's World Tour in the Middle East, the UAE Tour Women draws elite riders from around the world. Over four action-packed days, the race includes sprinter-friendly stages in Dubai, the iconic mountain-top finish at Jebel Hafeet, and a fast-paced finale in Abu Dhabi on Sunday. Each stage of the UAE Tour Women presents unique challenges, pushing riders to their limits in strength, strategy, and teamwork.

Elisa Longo Borghini
Elisa Longo Borghini is an Italian cycling champion, known for her endurance and tactics. She won the 2024 Giro d'Italia Women, leading from start to finish. A two-time bronze medalist at the UCI Road World Championships (2012, 2020), she’s also claimed victory in three cycling monuments—Tour of Flanders (2015, 2024) and Paris-Roubaix Femmes (2022). With resilience and sharp racing intelligence, she remains a dominant force.


Karlijn Swinkels
Karlijn Swinkels is a Dutch road cyclist who won the 2016 Junior World Time Trial Championship. She secured her first pro victory in 2019 at Stage 1 of the Vuelta a Burgos Feminas. Swinkels claimed the 2023 and 2024 AG Tour de la Semois titles and won the 2024 Grand Prix de Wallonie. In 2025, she finished 2nd in the Cadel Evans Great Ocean Road Race, solidifying her reputation as a versatile and competitive rider.

Silvia Persico
Silvia is a versatile cyclist, excelling in cyclo-cross, road, and gravel disciplines. She finished top 5 at the 2022 Tour de France Femmes and won bronze at the UCI Cyclo-cross and Road World Championships. Her victories include the 2022 Ceratizid Challenge by La Vuelta and 2023 De Brabantse Pijl.


Sofie Van Rooijen
Sofie van Rooijen, a Dutch road cyclist, won multiple races in 2024, including the Drentse Acht van Westerveld and EPZ Omloop van Borsele. She also claimed the European Under-23 Road Race Championship title. Her victories solidified her as a rising star in women's cycling.


Elynor Bäckstedt
Elynor Bäckstedt, a Welsh cyclist, has excelled in both road and track events. She won bronze in the Time Trial at the 2018 and 2019 UCI Junior Road World Championships and claimed European Junior Track titles. In 2023, she won the World Championship in Team Pursuit, marking a major milestone in her career.


Lara Gillespie
Lara Gillespie, an Irish cyclist, won silver in the 2017 European Youth Olympic Festival and became the European Junior Points Champion in 2018. She made history in 2019 with Ireland's first World Junior Championship medal, earning bronze in the Pursuit. In 2023, she claimed two European U23 titles, solidifying her rapid rise in cycling.

UAE Tour Women Stage 1

Stage 1 of UAE Tour Women: Dubai Stage

Thursday, 6th February 2025
149 km From Dubai Police Officer's Club To Dubai Harbour


Start Time: 12:50 PM
Estimated Finish Time: 4:30 PM
Race Type: Sprint


The Route:

A stage in Dubai. Starting at the Dubai Police Officer’s Club, the race will pass the classic sites of these stages such as Deira, the Dubai Safari Park, the Al Qudra Cycle Track and Umm Suqeim to reach Palm Jumeirah, and finish in Dubai Harbour. The entire route winds along very wide, and substantially straight, roads interspersed with roundabouts that have a very large radius and are well paved.

Final Kilometres:
The finale is on a wide avenue, and the finish line is on asphalt.

UAE Tour Women Stage 2

Stage 2 UAE Tour Women: The Desert Stage

Friday, 7th February 2025
111 km From Al Dhafra Fort To Al Mirfa

Start Time: 1:55 PM
Estimated Finish Time: 4:30 PM

Race Type: Sprint

The Route:
The desert stage. It starts from Al Dhafra Fort in the desert to reach Madinat Zayed. There are wide, straight roads punctuated by sequences of roundabouts as the route arrives in the built-up area. After passing the city, the route crosses the desert again for over 60 km toward the coast, heading directly to Al Mirfa.

Final Kilometres:
The finale takes place on a wide road with perfect pavement and just one curve at a roundabout before the final straight. The finishing straight is 8 meters wide and on asphalt.

UAE Tour Women Stage 3

Stage 3 UAE Tour Women: The Classic Mountain Stage

Saturday, 8th February 2025
152 km From Al Ain Qasr Al Muwaiji To Jebel Hafeet


Start Time: 12:20 PM
Estimated Finish Time: 4:30 PM

Race Type: Climb

The Route:
The classic mountain stage of the UAE Tour. In the first part, the route winds its way through Al Ain, where many of its landmarks (Hazza bin Zayed Stadium, UAE University) are visited, then takes a long ride through the desert along Truck Road E30 and eventually returns to Green Mubazzarah. Here begins the final climb of Jebel Hafeet, which – at 10 km long – will be the final judge of the race.

Final Kilometres:
The final climb winds through wide-ranging hairpin bends on a 3-lane roadway. Gradients are mainly around 8-9%, peaking at 11% with 3 km to go. There is a very short descent in the last km, before the closing ramp. The finish line is on straight asphalt.


Wolfi's, in collaboration with WMN Moving Forward will be hosting the fan zones in Wolfi's SZR, Dubai during the Stage 3 of the UAE Tour Women on 8th February from 2:00PM - 5:00PM.

UAE Tour Women Stage 4

Stage 4 UAE Tour Women: The Abu Dhabi Stage

Sunday, 9th February 2025
128 km From Fatima Bint Mubarak Ladies Academy To Abu Dhabi Breakwater


Start Time: 1:30 PM
Estimated Finish Time: 4:30 PM

Race Type: Sprint

The Route:
A stage around the city of Abu Dhabi. Starting at the Fatima Bint Mubarak Ladies Academy, the first part of the route heads towards Khalifa City and then on to Yas Marina. It returns to Abu Dhabi City and passes over Saadiyat Island and on Al Maryah Island, Al Reem Island and Yifenah Island. It then passes through Qasr Al Hosn, arriving at Abu Dhabi Breakwater for a sprint finish.

Final kilometres:
The last 5 km are on a wide road with large half-curves leading to the finish line on tarmac.
