The new Mon Chasseral wheelset: Swiss engineering performance and finest materials, ambitiously transformed into the ultimate mountain wheelset. What is your ambition?
You ride your bike. Not to prove anything to anyone. But for yourself. You feel ambitious - yet relaxed. Confident to reach your goal. It’s all out there: You. Your bike. And the ultimate wheelset to propel you up the mountain top of your personal “Mon Chasseral”: 1266 g of finest Swiss engineering - featuring the latest Ratchet EXP hub and built up with a special carbon layering technology, hand-made in Europe - this wheelset provides you with a unique appearance and riding experience.

HUB TYPE : 180 with Ratchet EXP 36
RIM : Carbon, Hooked / Crotchet tubeless TC
RIM HEIGHT : 24 mm
SPOKES : DT aero comp® t-head, DT aerolite® t-head

RIM
The "out of the mold" technique shows the fine fibre structure of the carbon rim giving each wheel an individual touch and reducing the rim weight.

HUB
Reduced weight and technically sophisticated refinements lift the 180 DICUT hub to a new level of road cycling wheels.

SPOKES
The spokes are the heartbeat of DT Swiss. Therefore, all spokes are engineered in Switzerland, at the foot of the Chasseral mountain.

The flat T-head spokes ensure an optimal aerodynamic alignment and provide a perfect unit with the rim and hub.

SINC CERAMIC
The highest quality of bearing technology is installed in all DT Swiss 1100 wheels. The rider benefits from a reduced rolling resistance and extended durability.

SINC ceramic ball bearings have been developed by DT Swiss as a system. They are based on balls made from silicon nitride (Si3N4), an extremely tough and wear- and corrosion-resistant ceramic material. The bearing rings are made from a specially developed steel alloy, which is adapted to the properties of the specific ceramic material used and are precision ground. This combination reduces the rolling resistance to an absolute minimum and guarantees greater durability than conventional ball bearings.
But it is not just the bearing itself that is conceived as a system. It's only by using tolerances within a few thousandths of a millimeter and precisely tuning the tolerances of DT Swiss hub bearing seats that SINC ceramic bearings deliver their full potential and offer the decisive advantage over competing products.

RATCHET EXP
Ratchet EXP is the lightest freehub system from DT Swiss and is therefore found in the highest specification versions of DT Swiss products like the 180 and 240 hubs.

The Ratchet EXP requires fewer single parts because of the integration of the ratchet and the threaded ring, which reduces the weight of the system. Only one guided spring is used, which ensures precise engagement.

TUBELESS TECHNOLOGY
All DT Swiss wheelsets are tubeless compatible and the ASM versions come tubeless ready, equipped with tubeless tape and valves.

Tubeless tires have a number of advantages over the conventional combination of tube and tire: without risking snakebites, the tire can be run with lower pressures providing better grip. The lower pressure also results in a more comfortable ride. Eliminating the tube means there is no friction between tube and tire and therefore less rolling resistance when the tire rolls over the ground and obstacles. If tubeless sealant is used, the tire can self-seal stings and small cuts. A big advantage for all those who like to ride for long and far away from the next bikeshop.

Tubeless ready DT Swiss rims have further advantages over conventional rims. The design of their cross section allows for the tire to easily pop in place when inflated, and more often than not a standard floor pump is all that‘s needed. Also the elaborate profile of DT Swiss rims ensures a precise and safe fit of the tire even when ridden hard.

In order to guarantee a perfect fit and to make the installation of the tire as easy as possible, the profiles of DT Swiss rims are designed with the tubeless use in mind. However it is always possible to run a conventional tire /tube combination.
