  1. Clean your bike thoroughly before application. For best results and optimum durability spray Muc-Off Disc Brake Cleaner or Dry Degreaser onto a clean, dry microfibre cloth and wipe over the surface to ensure it is contaminant free. (Always test the disc brake/dry degreaser cleaner on a small inconspicuous area prior to use to ensure finish compatibility!)
  2. Try to fit the guards in a clean and warm environment, this will help achieve good adhesion to the surface. Top Tip! If you are applying in colder conditions and have access to a hairdryer then carefully warm the surface. This will help achieve an optimal adhesive bond.
  3. Spray your hands and the adhesive side of the guards with water then slowly peel the guards off the backing material and line up the centre of the guards to the area you are applying. NB: It’s important you start with each sticker in the dead centre of the area you are applying so chill and take your time on this section! Then slowly rub down the middle, working your way out to the sides pushing out any air bubbles to the edges.

Top Tip!
You can easily trim the shapes as required, if necessary, with clean, sharp scissors if you need to fit around any challenging shapes or frame mounts etc.

  • Use a clean microfibre cloth to firmly rub down the guards onto the surface and make sure you cover all areas with even pressure.
  • Sit back and admire your freshly wrapped pride and joy, now go ride!

REMOVAL: Ready to remove your guards? Removal is easy!

  1. Start by gently heating the surface of the guards with a hairdryer. This will help soften the adhesive, then slowly start peeling up a corner of the guards and peel back as carefully as you can, try to keep the adhesive attached to the protective layer so it all comes off in one piece.
  2. Once each protection guard is removed use Muc-Off Glue & Sealant Remover to easily remove any residue before re-installing your new guards! (Always test the Glue & Sealant Remover on a small inconspicuous area prior to use to ensure finish compatibility!). *age restrictions may apply!

Please note - not suitable for frames with an anodized finish. Anodized finishes do not provide a suitable surface for the application of the clear protection because the adhesive struggles to conform to the coarse texture, trapping moisture and air underneath the film. This can result in tricky application and bubbles underneath the frame.

  • 20-piece pack is designed to fit chain stays and rear stays on most bikes

What if the sticker doesn’t fit the area or component I am fitting it to perfectly?

The stickers can be easily trimmed down to size with scissors and we’ve even designed the stickers with set trimming indent slots to help facilitate with this in areas we think may need to be adapted for the perfect fit.

What if I apply the protection stickers incorrectly or not straight?

Don’t worry, stay calm, then very carefully and slowly peel the stickers back. If you have access to a hair dryer try and apply some heat to the area as this will help soften the adhesive and allow re-positioning of the sticker.  When applying the clear stickers, using water to help apply these will also allow easy repositioning when fitting.

Will the frame protection kits fit a road or gravel bike?

We have designed the frame protection kits to provide coverage on MTB and EMTB bikes meaning that they are too wide for road and gravel bikes.

Can I use a pressure washer to clean my bike after applying the frame protection stickers?

It is safe to use a bike specific pressure washer like ours, however do not point the pressure washer nozzle close up and directly towards the edge of the protective sticker.

Can I clean my bike with Bike Cleaner after applying the frame protection?

Yes but we recommend leaving them for at least 24 hours before getting any cleaner or water on them so the adhesive has time to achieve  an optimal adhesive bond to the surface.

Do I have to use water and a squeegee to apply the clear gloss and clear matt protection stickers?

Yes we recommend using water to apply these stickers to achieve the best clarity under the stickers. This method helps push out all air bubbles and imperfections so you are left with a crispy clear finish.
